What is Angina?
Angina is a type of chest pain that can happen when blood supply to the heart muscles is somehow restricted. An angina 'attack' usually happens when the arteries supplying the heart become hardened and narrowed.
Pain and discomfort of angina can feel like an aching or a dull, heavy/tight sensation in the chest. Such discomfort may also spread to the arm (left), neck, jaw or even your back.
Pain from angina is most commonly set off by a physical activity or a stressful event and usually lasts for a few minutes.
