Terms and Conditions of Use

The following terms and conditions should be read in conjunction with   existing You ID Me terms and conditions which can be located here: You ID Me terms and conditions
  1. The walkalone Bolt On to You ID Me® (“walkalone”) is made available by You-ID.me a subsidiary of AheadSolutions (UK) Ltd, 365 Haslingden Old Rd, Rawtenstall, Rossendale BB4 8RR (“AheadSolutions”, “us”, “we” or “our”).
  2. You, the user of walkalone, confirms your acceptance of these terms (“Terms”) upon the first use of walkalone. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use walkalone and discontinue its use immediately.
  3. These terms apply in addition to and should be read alongside our main  Terms and Conditions    and Privacy Policy.
  4. AheadSolutions hereby grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the walkalone Bolt On for your personal, non-commercial use and only on an Apple or Android device (“Device”) as permitted by the applicable Terms of Service of Apple or Google and in accordance with these Terms. All other rights in the walkalone Bolt On are reserved by AheadSolutions.
  5. The walkalone Bolt On is valid from date of purchase until you remove it by contacting customer services or doing so at You ID Me® online. 
  6. We will send you a notification after you have purchased the walkalone Bolt On confirming the walkalone Bolt On has been added.
  7. We reserve the right to terminate your use of the walkalone Bolt On, if you are, in our reasonable opinion, in breach of our terms.
  8. Upon your first use of the walkalone Bolt On you should check the walkalone Bolt On's compatibility with your mobile service provider and its network and the mobile service provider/s and network/s of your emergency contact/s. Please note that coverage may vary depending on time and location, data reception and speeds and mobile technologies of your mobile service provider and its network and your emergency contact/s mobile service providers and its/their networks and that this can also be affected by local factors including buildings, trees and even weather conditions. As such AheadSolutions cannot guarantee the walkalone Bolt On's compatibility with your mobile service provider and its network or the mobile service provider and networks of your emergency contact/s.
  9. If your mobile service provider and its network or your emergency contacts’ mobile service provider and their network/s do not support your use of the walkalone Bolt On, please contact us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you the sum you have paid for the walkalone Bolt On (“30-Days-Money Back-Guarantee”).
  10. The time limit for our 30-Days-Money Back-Guarantee starts when you purchase the walkalone Bolt On. To be eligible for a refund we require your proof of purchase, and you must be the Original Purchaser. Refunds will only be made to the original payment method used.
  11. In order to access the walkalone Bolt On you will need a 4G ready phone, 4G services package, 4G sim card and you may need to do a software update on your phone if it does not have the software required to access 4G services. You're responsible for ensuring you have inserted your 4G sim and installing a 4G software update on your phone (if required). You must follow any instructions we send you about accessing the walkalone Bolt On.
  12. Your access will end as soon as you cancel the Bolt On. If you cancel part way through your billing month you may continue to use the walkalone Bolt On until the end of the relevant billing month.
  13. The service is variable in nature and, subject to your mobile service provider and its network, AheadSolutions reserves the right to remove, vary or amend these terms and/or any element of the walkalone Bolt On at any time, including but not limited to the substitution of a suitable alternative. If we withdraw the service whilst the walkalone Bolt On is activated, then the walkalone Bolt On will continue until it has expired. AheadSolutions does not guarantee that the walkalone Bolt On will always be made available and reserves the right to end the walkalone Bolt On at any time.
  14. AheadSolutions provides the walkalone Bolt On on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis without any promises or representations, express or implied. In particular, AheadSolutions does not warrant or make any representation regarding the validity, compatibility, accuracy, reliability or availability of the walkalone Bolt On or its content.
  15. Privacy.
    1. The data controller in accordance with the UK`s Data Protection Act (2018) and the General Data Protection Regulation is AheadSolutions (UK) Ltd, 365 Haslingden Old Rd, Rawtenstall,Rossendale BB4 8RR.
    2. The legal basis for processing your personal data in connection with the use of the walkalone Bolt On is the fulfilment of a pre-contractual and contractual measure in accordance with Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR, your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR and in certain circumstances in accordance with Article 6(1) d), your vital interest.
    3. Your personal data submitted to us and provided during the provision of our services will be shared with your nominated emergency contact and your mobile service provider and its network operators as and if required. During the course of making the walkalone Bolt On valilable to you and on your device your personal data will only be shared in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
    4. Automated decision making is not used and No special categories of data are processed.
    5. We secure the walkalone Bolt On through appropriate technical and organisational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification or distribution of your data by unauthorised persons. However, and despite regular checks and updates, complete protection against all dangers is not possible.
    6. Your data will be stored by us for as long as it is needed for the respective purposes underlying the processing. Beyond that, we only store data insofar as we are legally obligated to do so, e.g. due to statutory retention obligations.
