ID+ is an enhancement to SMART Emergency ID profiles - excellent for Child ID Safe or Medical ID Wristbands so parents or relatives may be contacted immediately.

The service adds prominent & enhanced safety features in the form of three short sections the top of your existing emergency ID profile:

EMERGENCY CONTACT HOT DIAL KEYS
Hot Dial Keys are buttons allowing your nominated emergency contacts to be dialled directly immediately.

PHOTO ID
Allowing a positive visual identification of you in case of an emergency.

VITAL DETAILS
Simplicity and clarity up front; your name and any vital instruction or medical conditions/s (if applicable).

WELL... IS IT?

The ID card inside the band is made of 'plasticised paper' so that is 100% waterproof. The SMART chip is water-resistant.

I recently wore my own SMART ID whilst kayaking and swimming in the rapid-flowing icy rivers of South Wales without any problem - (talk about the ultimate test!).

Finally the band itself is constructed of fabric, webbing and Velcro so naturally if this gets wet will take a short time to dry.

Internet coverage across the destination you are travelling to
It is essential to use an internet connected device to access your information.
Find out about Internet coverage in your destination country.
Smartphone usage in the destination you are travelling to
A Smartphone is likely to be the most likely mobile device that would be used to access your emergency ID. Remember if your product has an NFC tag the Smartphone must be compatible open and compatible to read NFC.

Could there be any language barriers?
If there is internet connectivity and there are devices around that are compatible with your individual ID product ( SMART ID or CODED ID ) then a final consideration would be language; will your information be understood?
Translation of your emergency ID
When accessed, your information will always display in the language in which you submitted it, some modern browsers prompt end users to see if they would like the page content translating into their native language.

Additionally services such as Google Translate allow translation between over 90 different languages. Whilst this is outside of your control, it's reassuring to know that your emergency ID provides valuable peace of mind when you are travelling.
