The claim that ChildSafe ID Wear is the safest ever child ID product is a big claim to make. So why do we make the claim?

Parents that opt for their young children to use Child ID products generally fall into two 'camps'. Either they want their children to carry their contact details in case they become separated from mum or dad whilst in a busy place or their child has a medical condition or allergy and they feel that the benefits of carrying information about the condition (or medications taken to treat the condition) are sufficient enough to warrant the info being carried in case of an emergency.

So what can go wrong? Well perhaps surprisingly its not the type of information carried that poses the greatest threat. After listening to our customers we've created ChildSafe ID Garments for and believe the solution to be a safer way for young children to carry ID or medical information for the following reasons: - 

1. Young children remove wristbands but are unlikely to remove their ChildSafe ID garment
   Young children sometimes remove wristbands when parents aren't aware (whilst in their car seat for example) Parents may not notice until it's too late. This is potentially disastrous.
   ChildSafe: If a young child did happen to remove their Child ID garment mum or dad would certainly notice!
   
   
2. ChildSafe ID garments are less conspicuous than a wristband
   A link to parents' contact or child emergency medical information is securely embedded behind the logo on ChildSafe ID garments which is less conspicuous that a wristband. 3. Geolocational information is gathered when a ChildSafe ID garment is read by Smartphone.
   Whenever a the embedded tag of a ChildSafe ID garment is read, the system collects limited geolocational information which may provide helpful information relating to the whereabouts of the child.

It is of course early days for the whole wearable technology scene but one thing is for certain. If any line of wearable technology is to have mainstream take-up then it needs to be practical and purposeful otherwise what's the point of investing and using?
